He then moved to Ranchi to complete his education. He completed his schooling at DAV Public School, Hazaribagh, in 2011 and graduated in business management at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in 2014. His first book ''Unsocial Amigos'' was published when he was 19 years old and studying B.B.A.〔()〕 ''Unsocial Amigos'' is a young adult romance fiction about live-in relationships. Then he wrote a short story called ''Life Isn't a Fairy tale'' which was published in the anthology ''The Unbreakable You'' by Write India Publishers in January 2015. It is about a bullied boy who suffers from epilepsy but eventually fights back to redeem himself. Aikat was initially a casual writer. But, when inspired by rise of authors like Chetan Bhagat, Amish etc. , he decided to take writing seriously. He idolizes Dan Brown, Khushwant Singh, Arundhati Roy and J. K. Rowling.
